Withdrawal and refunds

Updated: 4 November 2026

No online sales

The form makes no contract and takes no payment. Later acceptance by phone, email or at your home may trigger distance or off-premises contract rules.

Withdrawal right

For covered service contracts, the usual period is 14 calendar days from contract conclusion. New construction and substantial conversion require separate assessment. Statutory rights remain applicable.

Work during the withdrawal period

Starting in that period requires an express request under the legal conditions. If you withdraw, proportionate payment for work done may then be due when those conditions are met. Losing the right after full performance requires the statutory consents and acknowledgments. The contact form does not obtain these.

Urgent repairs

The exception concerns expressly requested visits for urgent repair or maintenance, not automatically additional services or non-essential goods. Calling work a “repair” does not remove your rights.

How to withdraw

Before the deadline, send an unambiguous statement by email to info@re-thermohome.lu or post to our address. Optional wording: “I withdraw from the service contract for [service], concluded on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date]. Signature only on paper.” The statutory model form must also be supplied before a covered contract.

Refunds and defects

Statutory withdrawal refunds are made without undue delay and within 14 days of notification, by the same payment method unless another fee-free method is expressly agreed, subject to applicable rules. Lawfully due proportionate charges remain payable. Defects and non-conforming work are covered by statutory remedies independently of withdrawal. Other cancellations depend on the contract without reducing mandatory rights.
